While HIBR may say softness and firmness mean nothing, we still like to give a firmness score. The HIBR mattress received a firmness score of 5 out of 10 (10 being the firmest). The mattress is a perfect blend of firmness and comfort when you first lay down. The HIBR is probably one of the most neutral beds we have reviewed.
HIBR has put a lot of research into creating comfort and it shows. The mattress has the perfect blend of firmness and softness. Customers have found that this led to an amazing sleep. We explore what gives this balance when we open up the mattress.
HIBR Sinkage
The HIBR has a good amount of sinkage. Customers recorded a sinkage of 3” in the center of the mattress. The mattress has no motion transfer which is great for light sleepers. The softness does make it a bit harder for night time activities. Highly sexual couples should look for a bouncier, firmer mattress.
COOLNESS and off-gassing
The HIBR mattress does a great job keeping the sleeper cool. They have used a special gel infused memory foam to pull the heat away from your body. The result is a cooler mattress, no matter how hot the room.
Customers found little to no off-gassing when opening the box. Each mattress in a box has a little smell when opened and HIBR is no different. The smell is gone after a few minutes leaving the mattress ready to sleep on.

The HIBR mattress has 3 unique foam layers. We take a look at what each layer does to give the customer a great nights sleep.
Mattress cover
The cover is made from a polyester cotton blend. The material does a great job keeping the sleeper cool.
Top layer
2“ of gel and graphite infused memory foam. This is the comfort layer that conforms to the sleeper’s body. It also is responsible for sucking the heat away from the body.
Middle Layer
This 2“ higher density foam is design to be a blend of softness and firmness. It transitions the sleeper from the soft top to the firmer base.
Bottom Layer
This 7“ high-density foam is the foundation of the mattress. It allows the customer to place the HIBR mattress on any surface.
