Taste The Rainbow: Our 5k Flavor Run Review

Who doesn’t love getting a mouth full of delicious flavored colored powder? I am a sucker for themed races, and The Flavor Run has me hooked. They take the concept of the Color Run a step further, adding flavors to the powder. The Flavor Run supports charities and local business, but really they had me at bright colors that taste yummy.

The Flavor Run Review

This tasty race is a fun run/walk/crawl that takes runners in one big loop for 5k (my favorite distance). They work with local businesses and charities to bring this festive and yummy run to cities across the US. It is definitely a fun run, so don’t worry about hitting your PR for this race.

The Flavor Run has a great atmosphere. I love seeing all the happy faces and excited participants. The race I did had a very easy packet pickup, which is always a plus. The actual race started at 9AM which was a bit late for me, but luckily it wasn’t too hot.

Kids are a must! I have found I enjoy these races the most when I go with my niece and nephew. It is meant to be a silly time and kids really bring out the silliness in me. Bring your little ones and watch their smile when they realize the powder tastes like strawberry, banana, grape or a ton of other flavors.

The Flavor run itself costs $29 if you register early. Flavor Run Review Summary

If you like fun runs, then you will love the Flavor Run. I have done numerous color runs and was excited to find someone took it to the next level.  Next time someone hits me with powder, hopefully it will taste like banana.
