Join The Drunken Devil For Bloody Gras

Drunken Devil: Bloody Gras

Price: $75

Bloody Gras Review

Debauchery and decadence reign supreme as the Drunken Devil cordially invites you to a Mardi Gras celebration you won’t soon forget: Bloody Gras.

This was the first time I have attended a Drunk Devil event but it won’t be the last. I was a little nervous about the $75 price tag, but decided I could recoup the cost with unlimited wine and drinks. I am happy to say that free drinks aside, the Bloody Gras was a fantastic time.

A few hours before the event I recieved an email from a woman in red speaking about murder. She said I would come find her in the party. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect with the Bloody Gras, but this was a great start.

The Space

When I arrived at the Bloody Gras I found a building with different large rooms full of decorations. A few of the decorations seemed a bit cheap, but overall I was impressed with the amount of effort for one night. There were two different bars (I never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a drink) and a cool photo booth in the back.

There was also a stage area with the burlesque dancers, DJs and an old-timey band. I spent most of my night dancing and hanging out in this room. The great music and burlesque shows were all the entertainment I could have hoped for.

The Immersive Part

I did eventually find the woman in red. She led me on a path to meet a voo-doo witch who sprinkled sand on me. It was fun to have the immersive aspect, but I wasn’t overly impressed.

The Actors

What do the Devil, an Axe wielding man, and a bunch of clowns have in common? It turns out they all like to hang out at Bloody Gras. Everyone involved in the event did a fantastic job. The waiters were great, the clowns were entertaining and the axe man was pretty damn creepy. The entire even ran very smoothly and I can appreciate how much work that took to coordinate.

Areas for improvement

The restrooms were two porta-potties at the entrance. It sorta ruined the vibe from the very moment you stepped into the event. The other issue I had was a large drop near the porta-potties. I watched a few inebriated party goers almost fall off the edge to the ground 4 feet below.

My Verdict for The Bloody Gras 9.3 /10

I had a fun time at the Bloody Gras Event. The band, burlesque, actors and everyone involved made the evening great. The set and restrooms could have been improved a little, but it was a minor thing overall. I look forward to the next event put on by the Drunken Devil.
